We welcomed approximately 30 volunteers across three locations—Elkhart Sterling Avenue, Goshen Abshire Park, and Middlebury Krider Gardens—for this year’s Celebrate Trails Day on April 25. This nationwide event featured projects in all 50 states on April 25, highlighting the shared commitment to maintaining and enhancing our trail systems.

Our local volunteers made a meaningful impact by spreading mulch, planting seeds, cleaning trail areas, collecting trash, removing invasive species, clearing gravel, picking up sticks, and contributing to overall beautification efforts. Their hard work helps keep our trails safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone.

A special thank you goes to the Elkhart, Middlebury, and Goshen Parks Departments for coordinating and leading these projects, and to every volunteer who generously gave their time and energy to beautify the Pumpkinvine Trail Network.
